Welcome, Baby Bleier!
On Sunday, July 13, 2008, Mitchel and his wife, Tracy, welcomed the newest addition to their family with the birth of their son, Beck Philip Bleier. Here is what Mitchel had to say about the experience:
"It is incomprehensible how much your life changes with the birth of your first child. Most of the people I know were preparing me for all the trials of a newborn - the up-at-night, life as you know it is over aspects of the experience - and, of course, they would tell me that it would be the greatest experience of my life. I guess it is easier for people to prepare you for the negative aspects of it because, unless you actually experience the feeling of holding your child for this first time, you really can't explain to someone else what that love is.
On Sunday, July 13, 2008, my first child was born. Beck Philip Bleier's journey into this world was special. His birth was all about empowerment and trust. He was born at home, in his room with our dear friends and family. The whole experience changed everyone's lives. I remember the first time I left the house after his birth to go teach, to do something that I have done for 12 years. But that class felt different. I saw and felt things in new ways, with deeper levels of awareness and understanding. There was a compassion and empathy that was new to me. There was a whole new perspective that opened up in my mind and heart that always resided in me, but needed the key of my newborn to unlock the door that allows me to see what all the parents before me could see – the purest form of love available."
All of us at Yo-Fi wish the family nothing but the best. Congrats to the Bleier family!
